Sign up for a free account, click "Create event", give it a name and cover, and you're done. The whole process takes under a minute. You'll get a unique link and QR code to share with guests.

Guests join by scanning the QR code or opening the event link in any browser. There's no app to download and no account to create. They can upload photos immediately.

Your event gets a unique QR code that you can download and print. When guests scan it with their phone camera, it opens the event gallery in their browser — no separate QR reader needed. You can put the code on table tents, signage, lanyards, or send it digitally.

No. Guests can upload photos, like photos, and add a display name without any account or app install. The experience is entirely browser-based.

Yes. Both hosts and guests can use Elbum from any modern browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile. The gallery and upload experience are fully responsive.

Storage duration depends on your plan: Free events store photos for 1 month, Standard ($19) for 3 months, and Pro ($39) for 6 months. You'll receive an email reminder before your event expires.

Yes. As the event host, you can download all photos as a single zip file at any time before the event expires. Guests can also download individual photos from the gallery.

Elbum supports JPEG, PNG, HEIC, and WebP photo formats. Video upload is not currently supported, but is on our roadmap.

The Free plan has a limited number of photos per event. Standard and Pro plans have significantly higher limits — see the pricing page for current limits.

When an event reaches its expiry date, all photos are permanently deleted. We send a reminder email 7 days before expiry. Make sure to download your photos before the event expires.

Yes — the Free plan lets you create an event with a limited number of photos and 1 month of storage at no cost. No credit card required.

Elbum uses per-event pricing: Free ($0), Standard ($19), or Pro ($39). You pay once per event — there is no monthly subscription. You only pay when you need it.

We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Mobile purchases can also be made through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on events purchased via our website. Email support@elbum.app within 30 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked. App Store and Google Play purchases are subject to their respective refund policies.

Yes. You can upgrade a Free or Standard event to a higher tier at any time — you'll only pay the difference. The upgrade extends your storage and unlocks Pro features immediately.

Only people who have the event link. Events are private by default — they don't appear in any public index or search engine. Pro events can additionally be protected with a password.

Yes. As the event host, you can delete individual photos or the entire event at any time. Guests can also delete their own photos from the gallery. Deletion is permanent and immediate.

Yes. Elbum is operated by IdeaWorks ApS, a Danish company subject to GDPR. We collect only the data we need, store it securely, and respect all data subject rights. See our Privacy Policy for details.

No. We do not use photos for advertising, model training, or any purpose other than operating the Elbum service. You own your photos.

Elbum works on any modern browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on both mobile and desktop. For the best experience on iOS, use Safari.

No — uploading requires an internet connection. Photos are uploaded directly from the guest's device to our servers in real-time.

Yes — Elbum has a native iOS app (and Android coming soon) for event hosts. The app offers a richer experience for creating and managing events. Guests never need to install anything.

Individual photo uploads are limited to 25MB per file. Most phone photos are well under this limit. For very large RAW files, we recommend compressing them before uploading.
